Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential clean-tech organization based in Cologne, and our talent team is seeking a React Developer to join their agile engineering group. In this role, you will contribute to the development and evolution of energy-management SaaS solutions built on a modern microservices architecture.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with developers, product owners, and UX/UI designers to drive feature development for cloud-based platforms
- Designing, testing, maintaining, and continuously improving software independently and as part of a team
- Providing technical consultation to product management and discussing requirements with cross-functional stakeholders
- Contributing to DevOps practices, including architecture decisions, coding, and testing
- Participating in pair programming, code reviews, and prototyping to advance both product quality and your own skills
- Engaging regularly with agile, interdisciplinary teams through development community meetings and architecture forums
- Exploring new ideas during monthly innovation days and bringing viable concepts into the product roadmap
What We're Looking For
- A completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification in software development
- Prior experience as a software developer, ideally in a SaaS environment
- Practical experience with microservices and cloud infrastructure
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript knowledge, ideally in a React context, or alternatively very good Java/Kotlin skills with Spring Boot experience
- Familiarity with standard agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence for project coordination and documentation
- A creative, analytical mindset with enthusiasm for new technologies and a solid sense of quality
- A proactive, hands-on mentality suited to fast-paced environments
- Good German and very good English language skills
