Role Overview

As a Programme Assistant (Floater) with Junior Adventures Group, you'll provide adaptable support across all aspects of our operations and educational delivery in Carrigtohill. This part-time role is designed for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment where no two days are quite the same. You'll work closely with our core team to ensure our programmes run smoothly, supporting instructors and facilitators whilst directly engaging with the young people who benefit from our services.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of educational and adventure programmes for young people
• Support instructors by managing activities, equipment, and participant engagement
• Prepare and maintain activity spaces, ensuring all equipment is ready and safe
• Create a positive and inclusive experience for all programme participants
• Undertake administrative and operational support tasks as required
• Respond flexibly to cover shifts and adapt to changing programme schedules
• Maintain commitment to safeguarding and health and safety standards

Skills & Qualifications

• Genuine passion for supporting young people's development and wellbeing
• Excellent communication and teamworking abilities
• Flexibility and reliability, with willingness to adapt to shifting priorities
• Sound organisational skills and attention to detail
• Good physical fitness to participate in outdoor and active programmes
• Understanding of and commitment to safeguarding best practice
• Desirable: First Aid at Work or Paediatric First Aid qualification
