About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization in Germany seeking a Product Designer for a 1-year fixed-term contract. This maternity cover position offers the chance to shape user experiences across a sophisticated digital product ecosystem serving financial services professionals.
You'll take ownership of UX and UI design across multiple applications, working to modernize existing platforms while building cohesive design systems. This role sits at the intersection of user research, interface design, and brand development, giving you broad exposure and meaningful impact during your tenure.
Responsibilities
- Create wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes and intuitive interfaces that balance user needs with business requirements and technical constraints
- Plan and conduct user research including interviews, usability testing, surveys and discovery sessions, translating findings into actionable design insights
- Build and maintain design libraries, reusable components, patterns and guidelines to ensure consistency across the digital product suite
- Iterate on designs using user feedback, testing results, stakeholder input and data insights to continuously improve product experiences
- Partner with Product Owners, Engineering teams, business stakeholders and global UX colleagues to align designs with roadmaps and ensure successful implementation
- Support a modern, customer-focused brand experience across digital and physical touchpoints while maintaining accessibility and inclusive design standards
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in UX research, UX design or a hybrid research-design role with a strong portfolio demonstrating your approach and measurable impact
- Hands-on experience conducting user research and translating findings into effective design solutions
- Strong proficiency in Figma, Sketch or similar design tools with the ability to create high-quality wireframes, prototypes and user flows
- Experience building or contributing to design systems and component libraries with a solid understanding of consistency and reusable patterns
- Confident communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and development teams while working independently in an Agile environment
- Fluency in German and English for daily collaboration across international teams
The position is based in Frankfurt am Main with hybrid working arrangements, allowing flexibility alongside in-person collaboration. You'll join a collaborative international environment where design, product and engineering teams work closely across geographies.
