Workday is seeking a Principal Product Advisor, Financials to shape the future of cloud financial management. This full-time role is offered across 3 locations, and you'll leverage deep expertise in financial software and product strategy to guide the evolution of our financial solutions.

About the Role

As a Principal Product Advisor, Financials at Workday, you'll serve as a trusted strategic partner between our financial solutions customers and our product development teams. This is a hands-on leadership position where your financial domain expertise directly influences product strategy. You'll translate complex customer needs into actionable insights, ensuring our financial management products remain at the forefront of cloud-based enterprise financial innovation.

Core Duties

• Advise product teams on market trends, customer requirements, and competitive dynamics in financial management and enterprise resource planning
• Partner with enterprise customers to understand their financial workflows, challenges, and strategic objectives
• Develop and communicate product recommendations based on deep financial domain knowledge and industry best practices
• Contribute to product roadmap planning, helping prioritize features and capabilities that drive customer success
• Mentor junior product and advisory team members, sharing your expertise in financial software and customer engagement
• Represent Workday at industry events, customer forums, and thought leadership initiatives in financial technology

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in financial software, accounting systems, or enterprise financial management
• Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, planning, consolidation, or related financial operations
• Strong understanding of modern cloud-based financial solutions and their competitive landscape
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for diverse audiences
• Proven experience building relationships with enterprise customers and translating business needs into product strategy
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
