Principal Account Manager, Strategic Accounts

Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Principal Account Manager for Strategic Accounts, based in Mountain View, Santa Clara County. You'll take ownership of our most significant customer relationships, driving growth and innovation at the enterprise level.

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site position where you'll serve as a strategic partner to one of AWS's largest and most innovative customers. As Principal Account Manager for Strategic Accounts, you'll be the senior executive voice for the customer relationship, responsible for understanding their long-term business objectives and aligning AWS capabilities to accelerate their success. You'll lead cross-functional AWS teams and influence customer strategy at the C-suite level.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute multi-year account plans that expand AWS services adoption across the customer's organization
• Build and sustain executive-level relationships with customer leadership, including C-level stakeholders
• Identify new business opportunities and drive revenue growth through thoughtful account planning and deal structuring
• Lead AWS teams across sales, solutions architecture, and professional services to deliver customer outcomes
• Provide strategic business counsel that goes beyond cloud infrastructure to address the customer's competitive challenges
• Ensure customer success, satisfaction, and long-term retention through proactive engagement and issue resolution
• Represent the customer's voice internally at AWS to shape product direction and service improvements

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Principal Account Manager, Strategic Account Manager, or similar senior enterprise relationship role
• Deep understanding of cloud technologies, AWS services, or enterprise software solutions
• Demonstrated ability to influence at executive levels and build lasting, trust-based partnerships
• Track record of growing large accounts and identifying new business opportunities
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to thrive in complex, matrixed environments
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strategic thinking combined with strong business acumen and financial literacy
