Praktikant Finance (m/w/d)

Overview

Our client, a confidential energy-sector organization, is seeking a Finance Intern (m/f/d) to join their team in Saarbrücken. This internship offers hands-on experience in financial accounting and provides deep insights into month-end and year-end closing processes, reporting, and cross-functional finance projects.

Important: This internship is exclusively for currently enrolled students who require a mandatory internship as part of their degree program. The internship duration is 3–4 months, with an immediate start available.

Responsibilities

• Support the finance team with core financial accounting tasks
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
• Help with account reconciliations and maintenance of subsidiary ledgers
• Contribute to the creation of financial reports, data analyses, and management presentations
• Participate in cross-departmental finance projects, including process optimization and digitalization initiatives
• Provide general administrative support within the finance department

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a Business Administration, Economics, or comparable degree program with a focus on Finance, Accounting, Controlling, or Tax
• Strong interest in financial and accounting topics
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Analytical mindset with strong numerical aptitude
• High level of initiative, independence, willingness to take responsibility, and team-oriented attitude
• Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
