Portfolio Operations Specialist

Nexamp is hiring a Portfolio Operations Specialist in Boston, Suffolk County to join our mission of building a clean energy future. As a full-time member of our operations team, you'll manage critical portfolio functions that keep our renewable energy projects running smoothly and efficiently.

About the Role

The Portfolio Operations Specialist supports the day-to-day management and oversight of Nexamp's growing portfolio of energy assets and projects. You'll serve as a key operations support resource, ensuring seamless coordination across project teams, maintaining accurate records, and driving operational improvements across the portfolio.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate and track portfolio project schedules, timelines, and deliverables to keep operations on target
• Maintain and update operational databases and documentation systems with current project information
• Support communications between cross-functional teams including development, engineering, finance, and management
• Identify operational bottlenecks and process inefficiencies, recommending solutions to improve performance
• Prepare reports and metrics dashboards summarizing portfolio health, project status, and key performance indicators
• Assist with compliance tracking, contract management, and documentation for active projects
• Support the onboarding and integration of newly acquired or developed assets into operational workflows

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in business, operations, engineering, environmental science, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• 2–5 years of experience in operations, portfolio management, project coordination, or similar role
• Proficiency with Excel, database tools, and project management software
• Strong organizational and documentation skills with keen attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Genuine interest in renewable energy and clean energy solutions
