Role Overview

Our Orthopaedic Center is looking for an organized, customer-focused professional to fill this full-time Registration role in Huntsville, Madison County. You'll serve as the primary contact for patients during their visit, managing intake processes, updating records, and coordinating appointment scheduling. Working a standard 40-hour week, you'll be central to ensuring efficient, compassionate patient flow and supporting our clinical team's mission.

Core Duties

• Welcome patients as they arrive and guide them through check-in procedures
• Gather and verify patient demographic and insurance information accurately
• Enter new and updated patient data into our electronic health record system
• Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate with clinical staff on patient flow
• Process patient check-out, collect co-payments, and verify billing information
• Respond to phone inquiries and route calls appropriately
• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
• Assist with clerical duties and administrative support as needed

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED minimum
• Previous experience in medical office registration, patient intake, or healthcare administration
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy
• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
• Professional appearance and genuine dedication to patient satisfaction
• Familiarity with medical billing, insurance verification, or insurance processes helpful
