We are seeking Physics Experts with deep knowledge in condensed matter and quantum information to contribute to a cutting-edge benchmark project. This remote contractor role focuses on quantum many-body physics, constrained dynamics, and exact diagonalization methods. Your specialized knowledge will directly shape how next-generation AI models learn and reason about complex physical systems—no prior AI experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze exact diagonalization implementations utilizing translation and reflection symmetries, working with system sizes L ≥ 26
• Construct and manipulate block-diagonalized subspaces for complex quantum systems, optimizing computational efficiency and physical fidelity
• Evaluate quantum state overlaps and interpret resulting physical insights within constrained quantum dynamics frameworks
• Contribute detailed written feedback, analytic reports, and assessments for research benchmarks in quantum many-body physics
• Serve in Solver, Auditor, or Adjudicator capacity depending on your subfield alignment and hands-on methods expertise

What We're Looking For

• Advanced academic background (PhD or equivalent practical experience) in condensed matter physics, quantum information, or closely related field
• Proven expertise in exact diagonalization techniques, particularly with QuSpin or similar computational frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to leverage symmetries for large Hilbert space calculations
• Strong understanding of quantum many-body scars, Rydberg blockade physics, and constrained quantum dynamics
• Experience performing block-diagonalization of Hamiltonians and working within large subspace structures
• Ability to analyze quantum state overlaps and interpret numerical results in physical context
• Strong technical writing skills for detailed analytic reporting
