What This Role Involves

The role of a Phlebotomist at Awanui in Invercargill involves drawing blood samples from patients for diagnostic testing. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and safety of each procedure, maintaining patient comfort, and adhering to strict hygiene protocols.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Follow strict infection control procedures to maintain hygiene standards.
• Record accurate patient information and ensure all documentation is complete and up-to-date.

Requirements

• A current New Zealand Phlebotomist registration or eligibility for registration with NZNO.
• Previous experience in a similar role, particularly within the healthcare sector, would be advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
