About the Role

As a Clinical Lab Assistant and Phlebotomist, you'll be a vital member of our laboratory team during second shift operations. Working on an every-third-weekend rotation that includes holiday coverage, you'll ensure patients receive prompt, professional blood draws and specimen collection while maintaining the highest standards of laboratory practice and patient safety.

What You'll Do

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture procedures with accuracy and compassion
• Collect blood samples and other specimens following strict chain-of-custody protocols
• Label, prepare, and process laboratory specimens for analysis
• Maintain detailed patient records and ensure specimen integrity throughout the collection process
• Communicate clearly with patients to ease anxiety and explain procedures
• Adhere to OSHA standards, infection control protocols, and laboratory safety guidelines
• Support the laboratory team in delivering efficient, quality patient care during evening hours

What We're Looking For

• Current phlebotomy certification or equivalent demonstrated experience required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse patient populations
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in specimen handling
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team
• Availability for second shift, every-third-weekend, and holiday rotations
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Valid healthcare identification and clean background check
