About the Role

As Director of Nutrition Services, you'll lead a healthcare nutrition program that delivers clinical excellence and resident satisfaction. You'll oversee all aspects of dietary operations within our skilled nursing facility, ensuring menus, food preparation, and meal service meet both resident needs and rigorous regulatory standards.

What You'll Do

• Manage the nutrition and food service department, including staff supervision, training, and performance evaluation
• Develop therapeutic meal plans tailored to residents' medical conditions, dietary restrictions, and nutritional requirements
• Plan menus that balance clinical nutrition goals with resident preferences and cultural needs
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, health codes, and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) standards
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to monitor resident nutrition outcomes and adjust care plans as needed
• Oversee food quality, safety protocols, and sanitation practices throughout the kitchen and dining service
• Manage departmental budgets, procurement, and inventory while optimizing operational efficiency
• Conduct nutrition assessments and maintain comprehensive dietary documentation for all residents

What We're Looking For

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credentials or equivalent professional certification
• Bachelor's degree in nutrition, food service management, or related healthcare field
• 3+ years of progressive experience in nutrition services management within a healthcare or skilled nursing setting
• Strong understanding of therapeutic diets, medical nutrition therapy, and regulatory compliance
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor, motivate, and manage dietary staff
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Proficiency with food service management systems and electronic health records
