Performance Marketing Manager (m/f/x)

About This Role

We are representing a confidential digital marketing agency in Berlin that is seeking a Performance Marketing Manager to drive growth strategies for their clients. In this role, you will combine strategic thinking with hands-on campaign execution, working across multiple performance channels and collaborating with creative, tech, and strategy teams.

This is an opportunity to take real ownership from day one, managing client relationships, developing data-driven growth strategies, and optimizing budgets across paid search, paid social, display, native, and programmatic channels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement performance marketing and growth strategies aligned with client business objectives
• Translate business goals into concrete channel, campaign, and budget strategies across paid search, paid social, display, native, and programmatic advertising
• Manage multi-channel budgets and ensure campaigns efficiently contribute to defined growth targets
• Continuously analyze performance data, derive optimization measures, and adjust strategies accordingly
• Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to enhance analysis, research, campaign concepts, reporting, and operational processes
• Own the setup, management, and continuous optimization of performance marketing campaigns
• Establish reporting and controlling processes, monitor KPIs, and track budgets, timelines, and results
• Provide structured briefs and clear task assignments to the performance team
• Present performance strategies, initiatives, and results to clients in regular meetings
• Collaborate closely with creative teams to develop data-driven creative concepts and effective campaign ideas
• Stay current on performance marketing trends, new tools, and AI-driven workflows, sharing knowledge actively within the team

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of experience in performance marketing, ideally within an agency, e-commerce, B2C, or B2B environment
• Strong knowledge across multiple online marketing channels (paid social, paid search, native, programmatic) with deep expertise in at least one channel
• Experience with tracking, reporting, and KPI-based campaign management
• Data-driven decision-making approach that combines analytical thinking with pragmatic execution
• Curiosity about new technologies with ideally hands-on experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or similar applications
• Proactive approach to following performance marketing trends and bringing new ideas to the team
• Self-directed project management skills with strong collaboration abilities
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and structured working style
• Fluency in both German and English
