Senior Consultant (m/w/d) Finance Solutions

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential business intelligence consultancy that specializes in corporate financial planning and consolidation solutions. Our client works with organizations ranging from mid-sized enterprises to multinational corporations, helping them digitalize and optimize their finance processes through modern BI technologies.

We're seeking a Senior Consultant who combines finance expertise, consulting skills, and analytical thinking. In this role, you'll work directly with clients on long-term engagements, optimizing their financial and controlling processes while developing modern planning and reporting solutions. This is a responsible position offering significant autonomy, direct client contact, and strong career development opportunities in a specialized consulting environment.

Location: Nuremberg, Germany (hybrid with 2-3 days remote possible; fully remote considered for qualified candidates depending on location)

Responsibilities

• Consult with and support clients on business intelligence, corporate planning, and consolidation initiatives
• Analyze business requirements in collaboration with finance, controlling, and corporate accounting teams
• Develop solution concepts and architectures for planning and consolidation systems
• Translate financial and operational requirements into technical solutions and system designs
• Model and implement OLAP solutions, reports, dashboards, and planning systems
• Design and optimize data integrations from ERP, financial, and upstream systems
• Guide client projects from initial concept through go-live
• Conduct workshops, user training sessions, and client presentations
• Provide ongoing support and continuous improvement for existing client solutions
• Support pre-sales activities including solution design and client presentations

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Degree in Business Administration, Business Information Systems, Finance, Controlling, or comparable field
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in business intelligence, financial planning, and corporate consolidation
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and controlling processes
• Proven experience analyzing and optimizing finance and controlling processes
• Excellent communication skills and confident presence with clients and business stakeholders
• Analytical and structured working style with high degree of self-direction
• Interest in data-driven solutions and understanding of BI and planning systems
• Fluent German language skills for client consulting and team communication
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and workshops (approximately once monthly)

Preferred:

• Experience with IBM Planning Analytics TM1
