About This Position

This part-time role is essential to maintaining a safe, welcoming environment where our diverse community of pre-professional artists can learn and thrive. Your Responsibilities

• Monitor building access points, verify credentials, and maintain entry logs
• Conduct regular patrols of campus premises, including studios, classrooms, and common areas
• Respond promptly to security concerns, incidents, or emergencies
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
• Complete incident reports and maintain clear documentation of all security activities
• Assist with crowd management during performances, events, and school functions
• Support school policies and procedures related to student and staff safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid security license or ability to obtain one as required by Illinois law
• Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to de-escalate conflicts
• Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality
• Physical ability to patrol campus and respond to emergencies
• Reliable attendance and flexible scheduling for part-time hours
