About the Role
This is a temporary, part-time opportunity to serve in a child support officer capacity. You'll work as part of a growing nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening families and communities throughout our 20-county service area in Central Texas. This role provides flexibility while allowing you to make a meaningful contribution to child support administration and services.
What You'll Do
- Manage and maintain accurate case files and documentation related to child support matters
- Process applications, payments, and modifications in compliance with state regulations and procedures
- Communicate professionally with custodial and non-custodial parents, clients, and legal partners
- Support compliance with federal and state child support guidelines
- Maintain confidentiality and follow established protocols for sensitive family information
What We're Looking For
- Experience in child support services, family law, social services, or related administrative roles
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases and priorities
- Proficiency with standard office software and case management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Commitment to serving individuals and families with respect, especially those facing economic hardship or with disabilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
