About the Role

This full-time PACU nursing position focuses on monitoring and supporting patients in the immediate post-anesthesia care unit following surgical procedures. You'll play a vital role in the recovery continuum, assessing patients as they emerge from anesthesia, managing pain and vital signs, and facilitating safe transitions to the next level of care. What You'll Do

• Monitor post-operative patients during immediate recovery from anesthesia
• Assess and document vital signs, pain levels, oxygen saturation, and neurological status
• Administer medications and manage post-operative pain under physician direction
• Identify, report, and respond to post-operative complications
• Communicate patient status and recovery progress with surgical and anesthesia teams
• Provide clear, compassionate communication with patients and families throughout recovery
• Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation and records
• Uphold infection control and patient safety protocols

What We're Looking For

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care
• PACU experience valued; we welcome qualified candidates with foundational nursing skills willing to develop specialized expertise
