Operations Specialist

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential insurance services organization seeking an Operations Specialist to join their team. This is a client-facing role supporting program administration and operational excellence within a specialized insurance program. You'll serve as a critical liaison among carriers, underwriting teams, claim handlers, and management, ensuring smooth information flow and adherence to program standards.

Responsibilities

• Carrier & Stakeholder Communications: Act as primary operational point of contact for carrier representatives, underwriters, and program stakeholders; coordinate with underwriting teams to obtain risk codes, policy information, and bordereau data; facilitate timely communication regarding program requirements and operational issues
• Claims Data Management: Review incoming claims to ensure complete and accurate information entry into management systems; retrieve policies and documentation from carrier portals; organize and maintain documents consistently; monitor data accuracy and follow up on missing information
• Program Administration: Maintain and update program guidelines, workflows, and operating procedures; ensure carrier requirements and updates are communicated and implemented; identify operational issues and coordinate solutions; support implementation of new reporting requirements and process changes
• Reporting & Quality Assurance: Support KPI, bordereau, and carrier reporting requirements; monitor performance against service expectations and program standards; identify trends and deficiencies; assist management with corrective actions and training initiatives
• Operational Support: Provide day-to-day assistance to claim handlers and management; support special projects, audits, file reviews, and data validation; contribute to workflow management and process improvement efforts

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in insurance, claims administration, underwriting support, program operations, or related field
• Working knowledge of insurance terminology, policy information, and claims processes
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in high-volume environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for professional interaction with clients, underwriters, claim handlers, and management
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and complete documentation
• Proficiency with claims management systems, Microsoft Office, carrier portals, and related business tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with delegated authority, TPA, MGA, or carrier program business
• Familiarity with bordereau reporting, KPI monitoring, and insurance data management
• Experience working directly with underwriting and claims teams
• Background supporting specialty insurance programs or transportation and environmental claims operations
