Operations & Maintenance Engineer (m/f/d) part time

About This Opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing GreenTech organization developing innovative renewable energy technology that leverages existing infrastructure. We are representing them in the search for an Operations & Maintenance Engineer to join their Hamburg team on a part-time basis.

This is a unique opportunity to work hands-on with emerging clean energy technology in active operation. You'll be responsible for the technical operation and maintenance of a renewable energy installation, ensuring reliable performance while helping establish the maintenance and service protocols for this developing technology. This role offers genuine autonomy and the chance to shape operational processes rather than simply following existing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspection and maintenance across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components of the renewable energy system
• Monitor and maintain hydraulic systems, including hydraulic oil management
• Diagnose technical issues, perform repairs, and document solutions and root causes systematically
• Develop and continuously improve maintenance schedules, spare parts inventories, and technical service documentation
• Manage on-site spare parts inventory in a structured and reliable manner
• Contribute hands-on operational experience to the development of future service structures and maintenance protocols

What We're Looking For

• Technical qualification in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, energy technology, or comparable technical discipline
• Practical experience in mechanical maintenance and repair of technical systems or machinery
• Solid understanding of hydraulic systems with ability to independently analyze technical relationships and identify potential issues
• Availability for 20-30 hours per week with flexibility for occasional early morning, evening, or weekend maintenance windows
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with a calm, solution-oriented approach to technical problems
• Comfortable working directly with technical equipment, outdoors, and in active traffic and logistics environments
• Ability to read technical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and electrical circuit diagrams is advantageous
• German language skills required for this Hamburg-based position
