About the Role

COREnglish is seeking English tutors on a contract basis in Colombia to deliver engaging, personalized instruction to our student community. As an Online English Tutor, you'll guide learners through structured lessons, foster speaking confidence, and help them progress toward their English language goals. This is a part-time contract opportunity with flexible earnings potential and a supportive teaching community behind you.

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver 25-minute or 50-minute English lessons in a professional, structured format
• Teach both individual students and small group classes using provided lesson plans
• Adapt instruction to student needs, building on their existing English foundation
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality across all scheduled lessons
• Support student progress through clear feedback and encouragement

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field (Language and Education backgrounds preferred)
• Proficiency in teaching English to non-native speakers
• At least one year of online tutoring or teaching experience (preferred)
• TEFL or TESOL certification (preferred)
• Reliable desktop or laptop computer—Chromebooks are not compatible with our platform
• Stable internet connection, ideally via wired cable
• Availability for part-time teaching during afternoon-to-evening hours (5 PM–11 PM Beijing time)
• Professional, reliable, and positive approach to teaching and communication
• Ability to commit to teaching for a minimum of one complete semester (six months)

You'll receive lesson plans in advance, work with learners who already possess foundational English skills, and enjoy the support of our experienced teaching team. We move fast—most tutors are onboarded within a week—and you can build your weekly schedule quickly. Regular students mean predictable monthly income at $6 USD per hour. Paid trial classes help you get started smoothly, and full administrative support is available whenever you need it. Payments are processed monthly, with transfers on or around the 10th–15th of each month.
