Mortgage Loan Officer – Indiana

What You'll Do

• Originate and process residential mortgage loans for qualified homebuyers throughout the Indianapolis market
• Conduct client consultations to assess financial goals and recommend suitable mortgage products and terms
• Prepare loan applications and supporting documentation while guiding borrowers through the approval process
• Partner with underwriting, appraisal, and closing teams to ensure efficient loan delivery
• Build a sustainable client pipeline through relationship development, referrals, and community networking
• Monitor mortgage market conditions and competitive rates to advise clients effectively
• Maintain strict adherence to federal lending regulations, state requirements, and company underwriting standards

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 2+ years of mortgage lending, loan origination, or related financial services experience
• Solid understanding of residential loan products, underwriting criteria, and closing processes
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain mortgage concepts and options to diverse clients
• Demonstrated track record meeting sales goals and managing multiple client transactions concurrently
• Organized, detail-focused approach to managing applications and documentation
• Proficiency with loan origination systems and standard office software
