Position Summary
This is a full-time Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship that combines on-site training at our Slough facility with formal technical education. You'll work directly with experienced engineers and technicians, gaining practical exposure to mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and real-world engineering challenges whilst progressing through a structured apprenticeship programme.
Core Duties
- Support mechanical engineering projects from design concept through to manufacturing
- Gain hands-on experience with machining, assembly, and precision engineering techniques
- Learn and apply CAD software, technical drawings, and engineering documentation
- Assist with quality control, testing, and process optimisation activities
- Complete formal technical modules and off-the-job training requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and safe working practices
What We're Looking For
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Mathematics and Science, including a grade 4 or above
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Genuine interest in mechanical engineering and manufacturing
