Responsibilities

• Instruct small groups of students in core mathematics concepts, building mastery across Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Statistics
• Monitor student progress using a multi-phase curriculum and provide individualized growth opportunities
• Maintain professionalism through timely communication, organized scheduling on the online platform, and accountability for student assignments
• Develop and execute creative, evolving lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles
• Mentor middle and high school students with empathy as they prepare for competitive college pathways

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics, education, or a related STEM field from US institutions (Master's preferred; candidates near graduation considered)
• 1+ years of teaching experience in mathematics or experience in a college-level tutoring center
• Strong academic record demonstrating high achievement (e.g., 3.5+ GPA)
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites
• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace for remote instruction
• Strong understanding of classroom pedagogy with ability to create engaging, real-world lesson plans
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to make complex mathematics approachable
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Mastery of standardized test mathematics content

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $21.00 – $24.00 per hour for full-time (40 hours/week). Our client also offers comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off; paid sick days; and fully paid winter vacations.
