Managing Partner, IT Strategy, State and Local Government, Atlanta & FL

Gartner is seeking a Managing Partner, IT Strategy to lead strategic consulting engagements with state and local government clients in the Atlanta and Florida markets. This is a full-time position where you'll shape how public sector organizations approach digital transformation, modernization, and mission-critical IT priorities.

About the Role

As Managing Partner, IT Strategy for our State and Local Government practice, you'll drive high-impact consulting relationships with government IT leaders and executives. Working from our Atlanta or Florida office, you'll combine deep expertise in government technology with strategic business acumen to help public sector organizations navigate complex IT transformation challenges and achieve their institutional goals.

What You'll Do

• Lead consulting engagements on IT strategy, digital transformation, and technology modernization with state and local government clients
• Partner with CIOs, government technology leaders, and executive teams to translate strategic insights into actionable recommendations
• Develop comprehensive IT strategy roadmaps that align technology investments with government mission and operational priorities
• Build and mentor consulting teams delivering high-value advisory services to public sector organizations
• Expand Gartner's consulting presence and thought leadership within the state and local government sector
• Leverage Gartner's industry-leading research and proprietary insights to drive client outcomes

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record leading IT strategy consulting engagements with government organizations or similar complex enterprise environments
• Deep understanding of state and local government IT priorities, operations, and budget and procurement processes
• Expertise in areas such as digital transformation, enterprise architecture, cloud strategy, cybersecurity, or IT modernization
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing consulting teams and manage large, complex client relationships
• Strong communication skills with ability to influence executives and communicate complex technology strategy to non-technical audiences
• Experience leveraging research and market insights to drive consulting outcomes
