Hanley Energy Group is seeking a Data Center Field Tech (HE LLC) (54511) to join its team in Dublin, Franklin County, where you will support critical power infrastructure for data center clients.

About the Role

This full‑time position focuses on delivering reliable field service for mission‑critical power and cooling systems. You will work directly with customers to ensure their facilities operate continuously and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Perform on‑site installation, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair of UPS units, battery systems, power distribution equipment, and HVAC components.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults, document findings, and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with project engineers and warehouse staff to stage materials, verify parts availability, and prepare service vehicles for each assignment.
• Conduct safety inspections, adhere to lockout/tagout procedures, and maintain compliance with OSHA and site‑specific regulations.
• Provide clear technical updates to customers and internal teams, and complete service reports in a timely manner.
• Travel to various data center locations within the assigned region, occasionally requiring overnight stays.
• Participate in on‑call rotations to respond to urgent incidents outside regular business hours.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience working in a data center or mission‑critical environment, preferably with power or cooling equipment.
• Solid understanding of UPS technology, battery systems, three‑phase power, and precision air conditioning.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, follow technical manuals, and use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and thermal imagers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort handling heavy equipment; capable of lifting up to 50 lb safely.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record, as the role requires frequent travel between sites.
• Excellent communication skills, a customer‑focused mindset, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Willingness to pursue relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA ITF+, manufacturer‑specific training) as needed.
