Manager Architect Cloud – Paris

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential data and AI consulting firm based in Paris. Our client seeks a Manager-level Cloud Architect to join their team in the 9th arrondissement. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud and data architecture projects across multiple industry sectors including retail, luxury, consumer goods, healthcare, and finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead workshops with clients to analyze and understand their technical and business requirements
• Take ownership of problem formulation to ensure alignment with true client needs
• Immerse yourself in client culture and ecosystem to master context and ensure proper technical scoping
• Design target solutions and architectures, assessing feasibility and implementation risks for each project
• Collaborate with client technical leadership to identify the most relevant solutions for their organization
• Master data flows implemented in solutions, including transformation, storage, and distribution in cloud contexts (GCP and Azure)
• Balance pragmatism with vision to create realistic solutions that address future needs with scalability and reliability
• Guide development teams and data scientists to facilitate production and deployment of solutions
• Work with business teams to iterate on solutions in an agile manner while refining understanding of needs
• Collaborate with client teams to facilitate solution ownership and long-term sustainability

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Engineering or computer science degree with excellent knowledge of modern technical architecture components
• Minimum 5 years of experience allowing you to take a strategic view of technical subjects
• Deep expertise in one or more areas: Data Architecture, Cloud, IT Architecture, IoT, DevOps
• At least one prior consulting experience
• Fluent English with successful experience in similar environments (consulting, professional services)
• Based in or willing to relocate to Paris

Desired technical skills:

• Specialized knowledge of cloud technologies from Google (GCP), Microsoft (Azure), or Amazon (AWS)
• Experience with Python, Kubernetes, Kafka, Spark, Airflow, Docker
• Software development background is a strong plus
