About the Role
As a Level B Technician - Technical Director in Los Angeles, you'll oversee the technical operations that make broadcast television possible. This is a full-time position where technical expertise meets leadership, combining hands-on technical work with supervisory responsibilities for our engineering and technical teams.
What You'll Do
- Direct and supervise technical broadcast operations, ensuring seamless on-air performance
- Manage studio control equipment, live production switching, and transmission systems
- Lead and mentor technical staff while maintaining broadcast quality standards
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement solutions quickly
- Coordinate with production, programming, and engineering teams to support content delivery
- Maintain compliance with FCC regulations and industry broadcast standards
- Schedule and oversee technical maintenance to minimize downtime
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in broadcast television technical operations or a related field
- Strong background with studio equipment, video routing, and transmission systems
- Leadership and supervisory experience managing technical teams
- Knowledge of FCC broadcast regulations and compliance requirements
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during live broadcasts
