Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential business law firm in Berlin that specializes in technology and data matters. In this Legal Specialist role, you will take ownership of clearly defined legal tasks relating to data protection, IT law, artificial intelligence, and digital business models. You will work on recurring legal matters that allow for predictable workload while delivering sophisticated legal advice to clients operating at the intersection of law, technology, and business.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Managing specific areas of responsibility within data protection and IT law matters
• Contributing to client deliverables from day one under the guidance of senior team members
• Advising on software contracts, cloud computing arrangements, and digital business models
• Supporting the legal enablement of digital innovation and AI-related regulatory questions
• Working collaboratively with a specialized team on complex legal frameworks affecting technology companies

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks a legally qualified professional who has successfully completed both German State Examinations in Law with at least 18 points in total. You should have genuine interest in technology and data law, ideally with some practical experience in data protection, IT law, or software law.

Required qualifications:

• Both German State Examinations in Law (minimum 18 points combined)
• Excellent German language skills and strong English proficiency
• Interest in or experience with data protection, IT law, and technology matters
• Curiosity about AI, software contracts, cloud computing, and digital business models
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to approach problems creatively
• Team-oriented mindset and collaborative work style
