Lead Consultant, Industrial Hygiene

Ramboll is seeking a Lead Consultant, Industrial Hygiene to join our remote team serving the Irvine, California area. In this full-time role, you'll lead workplace health initiatives, helping organizations assess occupational hazards and develop strategies for safer, healthier workplaces through expert consulting and compliance support.

Position Summary

As a Lead Consultant in Industrial Hygiene, you'll drive industrial hygiene strategy for organizations across diverse industries. You'll evaluate occupational health risks, recommend control measures, and guide clients through regulatory compliance. Your expertise will help companies protect workers, minimize liability, and build sustainable safety cultures that exceed industry standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive workplace hazard assessments and industrial hygiene surveys to identify occupational health risks
• Develop evidence-based control strategies and exposure mitigation recommendations for identified hazards
• Lead client engagements, providing strategic consultation on occupational health regulations and worker safety program development
• Prepare detailed technical reports documenting hazard analysis, risk assessment findings, and actionable solutions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate industrial hygiene best practices into broader workplace safety initiatives
• Monitor regulatory developments and emerging occupational health standards to keep client programs current and compliant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or closely related field
• Current Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credential or equivalent professional certification
• 7+ years of professional experience in industrial hygiene consulting, occupational health, or related discipline
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and occupational safety frameworks
• Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholder audiences
• Proven project management capabilities and analytical problem-solving skills
• Professional consulting demeanor with ability to lead independent client relationships
