About the Role

As a Landscape Technician at The Davey Tree Expert Company, you'll play a key part in our operations team, planning and executing landscaping projects that enhance the aesthetic and functional value of properties across upstate New York. This full-time position offers hands-on work in a dynamic outdoor environment where your expertise directly impacts client satisfaction and property outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Execute landscape installation and maintenance work on residential, commercial, and government properties
• Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, ornamental plants, and groundcover according to project specifications
• Operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain irrigation systems and ensure proper water management
• Apply mulch, soil amendments, and other landscape materials
• Perform site preparation and grading work
• Follow safety protocols and company standards on every job
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients to ensure satisfaction

What We're Looking For

• Experience with landscape maintenance and installation techniques
• Ability to operate standard landscaping equipment and tools
• Physical capability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Landscaping certifications, such as pesticide applicator licenses, a plus
• Willingness to learn and grow within the landscaping industry

Compensation and Employment

This is a full-time position offering competitive hourly compensation ranging from $20 to $32 per hour, based on your experience level and relevant certifications.
