About the Role

As a Plant Healthcare Technician with The Davey Tree Expert Company, you'll be the trusted expert our customers rely on to keep their trees, shrubs, and lawns healthy and thriving. You'll perform specialized plant care applications using professional-grade spray and injection equipment, diagnose plant health challenges, and deliver solutions that protect and enhance landscapes across the service area.

What You'll Do

• Apply fertilization treatments and pest management solutions to trees, shrubs, and turf using spray equipment and injection tools
• Diagnose plant health issues and recommend appropriate treatments to customers
• Operate, maintain, and safely handle application equipment to ensure service quality and compliance
• Document treatments, service details, and customer information for each work site visit
• Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations for pesticide and fertilizer applications
• Manage multiple customer locations efficiently and provide courteous, professional service at every appointment
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver consistent, high-quality plant healthcare services

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation to customer locations throughout the service area
• Physical capability to lift equipment, work outdoors in varying weather, and perform manual tasks throughout each day
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following established procedures and safety standards
• Willingness to obtain or maintain pesticide applicator certification as required by position
• Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor
• Ability to work full-time, including seasonal service schedules
• Reliable, dependable work ethic and commitment to quality
