IT-Systemadministrator Infrastruktur (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential construction organization in their search for an IT Infrastructure Systems Administrator. In this role, you will:

• Manage and maintain LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure across two data centers, ensuring stability and security through Sophos Firewalls and SD-WAN technologies
• Plan network infrastructure expansion and coordinate with external service providers
• Contribute actively to IT operations documentation and Information Security Management Systems (ISMS)
• Coordinate security measures including multi-factor authentication, phishing tests, and security awareness campaigns
• Administer Windows domain environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP) and virtualized server landscapes (vxRail)
• Manage Exchange, Citrix, and SQL environments, along with storage and backup systems (DataDomain, Cloud)
• Provide 2nd-level support to colleagues and manage support relationships with external partners
• Collaborate closely within the IT team to ensure smooth operations

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed IT-focused vocational training, university degree, or comparable qualification
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience administering IT systems, particularly virtualization environments, Windows Servers, and networks
• Strong understanding of IT security principles and best practices
• Willingness to occasionally travel to various company locations and project sites
• Self-directed, service-oriented working style with entrepreneurial thinking
• Strong communication skills, confident presence, and genuine enjoyment of teamwork
• German language proficiency required for this Oldenburg-based position
