High School Psychologist Intern

Position Summary

The High School Psychologist Intern will provide comprehensive mental health support to students while working under the supervision of licensed school psychologists. This role is essential to creating a supportive learning environment where students can thrive academically and emotionally. You'll gain hands-on experience in school-based psychology, including assessment, intervention, and counseling in one of Illinois' leading school districts.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with high school students on academic, social, and emotional concerns
• Assist with psychological and psychoeducational assessments under professional supervision
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement support plans for students
• Participate in response to crisis situations and provide short-term intervention support
• Contribute to school-wide mental health initiatives and prevention programs
• Maintain accurate, confidential case notes and clinical documentation
• Attend team meetings and professional development activities

What We're Looking For

• Current enrollment in a graduate program in school psychology, clinical psychology, or related mental health field
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work effectively with adolescents and adults
