Rochester Electronics L is recruiting a full-time Production Control Coordinator to join our operations team in Newburyport, Essex County. This is an on-site position for someone ready to keep production schedules on track and support our commitment to operational excellence.
About the Role
The Production Control Coordinator ensures smooth coordination between scheduling, production, and logistics teams. You'll be the hub connecting demand forecasts to shop floor execution, solving problems in real time and maintaining the information flow that keeps manufacturing running efficiently. This role requires attention to detail, communication across departments, and a structured approach to tracking and reporting.
What You'll Do
- Monitor production schedules and adjust priorities based on customer demand and resource availability
- Coordinate with manufacturing, planning, and inventory teams to prevent bottlenecks and delays
- Track work orders, material movements, and job status throughout the production cycle
- Maintain accurate production records and prepare daily or weekly reports for management review
- Communicate schedule changes and status updates to stakeholders
- Identify scheduling conflicts and escalate issues for timely resolution
- Support continuous improvement by flagging recurring delays or inefficiencies
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or an associate's degree is a plus
- Experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing coordination, or related operations role
- Proficiency with production management systems, ERP software, or manufacturing databases
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities
- Comfort working in a structured environment and following established procedures
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and focused on supporting team goals
