About the Role
The Head Girls Tennis Coach will serve as the primary leader for our girls tennis program, overseeing all aspects of team development and competition. This role combines strategic coaching with direct player instruction to help athletes reach their potential both on and off the court.
What You'll Do
- Plan and conduct tennis practices that develop fundamental skills, match strategy, and team cohesion
- Manage matches and tournaments, making tactical decisions during competition
- Work with youth tennis programs to identify and nurture developing talent
- Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement
- Support athlete safety, sportsmanship, and academic success
- Fulfill all time commitments required for practices, matches, and team activities
- Complete additional duties as assigned by school administration
What We're Looking For
- Tennis coaching experience at the high school or college level, or demonstrated high school or college playing experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of competitive tennis, match play, and player development
- Ability to communicate effectively with athletes, families, and school staff
- Commitment to building a positive team culture and fostering athlete discipline
- Reliable availability to meet the time demands of the position
- Current or ability to obtain appropriate coaching certifications as required by the school district
