About the Role
This is an over-the-road (OTR) contract driver opportunity structured for two-person teams hauling Hazmat tanker loads on dedicated lanes. The role is set up as a 1099 contract position, giving experienced drivers the chance to keep the wheels turning and the miles adding up across long-haul routes out of Saint Joseph, Missouri.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate as a CDL-A team running dedicated Hazmat tanker freight over the road
- Average roughly 7,000 miles per week per team to maximize earnings
- Handle approximately 10% driver load and unload duties as required by the freight
- Maintain compliance with all Hazmat and tanker safety regulations
- Plan home time around an expected 21 days out, with the flexibility to stay out longer if you choose
Qualifications
- Valid CDL-A license in good standing
- Current Hazmat and tanker endorsements
- Verifiable over-the-road (OTR) driving experience
- Willingness to run as part of a two-driver team
- Comfortable with extended time on the road and a 1099 contract arrangement
Compensation
- Average gross pay of $5,600–$5,700 per week, per team
- Pay rate of $0.80 CPM
- Dedicated freight for consistent, predictable miles
