About the Role

This is a full-time, over-the-road position structured as a 1099 contract for team drivers hauling Hazmat tanker freight. Operating on dedicated lanes, your team can expect roughly 7,000 miles per week, paid at a flat $0.80 per mile. Average gross weekly pay per team lands between $5,600 and $5,700. Teams are typically out for about 21 days, with the flexibility to extend your time on the road if you prefer to keep running.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate as a two-person OTR team transporting Hazmat tanker loads safely and on schedule
• Cover approximately 7,000 miles weekly across dedicated routes
• Handle driver load and unload duties, which account for around 10% of the work
• Maintain strict compliance with Hazmat and DOT safety regulations
• Communicate consistently with dispatch to keep freight moving efficiently

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license
• Active Hazmat endorsement and tanker experience
• Willingness to drive OTR as part of a team and stay out approximately 21 days at a time
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and motivation to earn
• Eligibility to work as a 1099 independent contractor
