OTR Truck Driving Flatbed Solo

About the Role

This is a full-time, solo 1099 contract driving position operating a flatbed trailer on over-the-road (OTR) routes out of Kannapolis, Cabarrus County. You will run dedicated freight and earn a percentage of each load, with average gross pay ranging from $1,900 to $2,100 weekly. Drivers typically cover 3,000 to 3,500 miles per week, with the freedom to extend time on the road when you choose.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely haul flatbed freight across OTR lanes as a solo driver
• Handle driver load and unload duties on a portion of assigned loads (roughly 10%)
• Secure and tarp cargo, with tarping required on about half of all loads
• Maintain consistent, on-time delivery while operating under a 1099 contract structure
• Plan home time around an expected 21 days out, with flexibility to stay out longer

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver's license with the endorsements required to operate a flatbed OTR rig
• Comfort and experience with flatbed equipment, load securement, and tarping
• Willingness to work as a solo, self-directed 1099 contract driver
• Strong work ethic and a genuine drive to maximize weekly miles and earnings
• Ability to remain over the road for extended stretches of roughly three weeks at a time
