GRC (Senior) Consultant (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential consulting firm seeking a GRC Consultant to join their Munich-based team. In this role, you will support the development and optimization of corporate governance systems, with particular focus on enterprise risk management, business continuity management, and internal control frameworks.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the build-out and enhancement of governance systems, including enterprise risk management, business continuity management, and internal control frameworks
• Participating in process and risk analysis activities and helping define appropriate mitigation measures
• Assisting in client workshops and training sessions
• Contributing to data analysis and the design of audit-proof, automated controls
• Helping establish management dashboards and reporting solutions using tools such as Microsoft Power BI
• Supporting the assessment of threat scenarios and development of contingency plans
• Contributing to the development of client-specific AI use cases
• Assisting throughout the business development process, from proposal creation to contract closure

At the Senior level, you will lead complex projects, take ownership of automation and digitalization strategies, independently conduct risk and process analyses, deliver executive-level recommendations, design automated controls in collaboration with IT teams, develop dashboard concepts tailored to decision-makers, lead crisis management planning, and independently create proposals and client presentations.

What We're Looking For

For Consultant level:

• Successfully completed university degree with relevant practical experience through internships or working student positions, ideally in consulting or strategic environments
• Passion for enterprise risk management, business continuity management, or internal control systems with foundational knowledge
• Interest in relevant standards, norms, and regulatory requirements (IDW standards, COSO, ISO, SOX, FISG) and their practical implementation
• Basic understanding of process and risk analysis and the development of mitigation measures or contingency plans
• Ideally, initial experience with data analysis and automated controls in SAP or comparable ERP systems
• Ideally, basic knowledge of Power BI and Power Apps (MS 365)
• Interest in AI applications in business contexts and willingness to develop expertise in AI use cases
• Strong team player with initiative and openness to feedback and development
• Strong communication skills in both German and English (minimum C1 level in both languages)

For Senior Consultant level:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in consulting, audit (Big 4), or line functions
• Comprehensive practical experience and expertise in building and transforming corporate governance systems
• In-depth knowledge of IDW standards, COSO, ISO, SOX, and FISG, with ability to translate these into practical organizational and technical measures
• Proven experience conducting risk and process analyses in governance system contexts
• Strong SAP knowledge, particularly in designing automated controls and implementing continuous controls monitoring
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI and Power Apps (MS 365) for automation and visualization of governance processes
• Experience developing and implementing client-specific AI use cases
• Comfortable taking responsibility and an active role in teams, promoting professional exchange and supporting others' development
• Confident communication in German and English with senior stakeholders
