About the Role

This is a full-time position on the Cardiac unit at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital, offering newly licensed registered nurses the opportunity to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients with cardiac conditions. You'll work the night shift (7 p.m.–7 a.m.) with rotating schedules that include every third weekend and holiday coverage, allowing you to grow clinically while supporting a specialized patient population.

What You'll Do

• Deliver direct patient care to cardiac patients, including monitoring vital signs, assessing hemodynamic stability, and responding to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care plans
• Assist with diagnostic procedures, cardiac interventions, and post-procedure monitoring and education
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment
• Support patient and family education regarding cardiac diagnoses, medications, lifestyle modifications, and discharge planning
• Follow hospital protocols, safety standards, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure best practices in cardiac nursing

What We're Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program
• Eligible to practice as a registered nurse as determined by the Missouri State Board of Nursing
• Current or pending RN licensure
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care in a specialty setting
• Willingness to work night shifts and rotating weekends
