Responsibilities

• Carry out measured surveys, condition assessments and visual inspections of buildings under qualified supervision
• Help prepare clear technical reports covering defects, repairs and maintenance needs
• Assist with project coordination tasks linked to refurbishment, adaptation or planned works
• Support the collection and analysis of property information for clients throughout acquisition, ownership, development and disposal stages
• Contribute to scheduled inspections, dilapidation schedules and minor project monitoring
• Collaborate with colleagues and external parties to deliver accurate advice and documentation on time

Skills & Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying, Construction or a closely related discipline
• A clear intention to work towards professional accreditation such as RICS membership
• Sound understanding of building construction methods, materials and common defects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client contact
• Analytical approach to problem-solving and attention to detail when inspecting properties
• Ability to organise tasks, work to deadlines and collaborate effectively within a team
• Willingness to travel locally within Cambridgeshire and the surrounding region as project requirements demand
