Government and Public Sector – Assurance – Tech Risk – Manager

EY is hiring a Government and Public Sector Assurance Tech Risk Manager in Tysons Corner, Fairfax County to lead technology risk assessment and governance initiatives for federal and public sector clients.

About the Role

As a Tech Risk Manager in EY's Government and Public Sector Assurance practice, you'll guide complex technology risk engagements that help government and public sector organizations strengthen their IT governance, cybersecurity posture, and technology controls. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll manage client relationships, oversee audit and assurance work, and deliver strategic recommendations on technology risk management.

What You'll Do

• Lead technology risk and IT audit engagements for federal agencies and government entities
• Manage teams conducting technology audits, security assessments, and governance reviews
• Assess IT control environments and recommend improvements to mitigate technology-related risks
• Develop technology risk assessment methodologies and audit programs aligned with government standards
• Present findings and recommendations to senior government leadership and executive stakeholders
• Identify technology risk trends and emerging threats affecting public sector organizations
• Mentor and develop junior team members in government and public sector assurance practices

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience managing technology risk, IT audit, or IT governance engagements, ideally in government or public sector environments
• Strong understanding of IT control frameworks, technology audit standards, and compliance requirements
• Experience leading and mentoring audit and assurance teams
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex technology risk topics to executive audiences
• Professional accounting, auditing, or technology risk certification preferred
• Ability to work at client sites and manage multiple technology risk engagements
