Game Designer – Castle Busters

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential mobile gaming studio in Paris seeking an exceptional Game Designer to join their core product team. This is a rare opportunity to shape a flagship mid-core title with millions of active players. We're looking for an experienced designer who lives and breathes RPG and mid-core mechanics, with a proven track record of delivering engaging player experiences in the mobile F2P space.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end—from concept and ideation through implementation, release, and ongoing optimization
• Collaborate closely with Product, Analytics, and Art teams throughout the feature development lifecycle
• Design and maintain game balancing, pacing, and overall feel to ensure player satisfaction
• Ground all design decisions in data analysis and player behavior insights
• Deconstruct and analyze competing mobile game mechanics to inform design direction
• Contribute across all development disciplines: UI, UX, game logic, performance optimization, and more
• Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking to identify emerging trends
• Utilize models and analytical tools to understand gameplay patterns and inform design iterations

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of professional game design experience
• Hands-on experience with mobile games, specifically F2P or RPG titles
• Creative problem-solver with a hacker mindset—able to think outside the box
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong sense of gameplay experience
• Proficiency in Unity (highly preferred)
• Familiarity with visual collaboration tools such as Figma, Miro, or similar platforms
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of casual game mechanics and design principles
• Strong collaboration skills with a positive approach to giving and receiving feedback
• Self-driven and accountable—able to take ownership and deliver independently
• Commitment to continuous learning and process improvement
