About the Role
You'll support all daily operations within our Food Service Department, working directly with ingredients, equipment, and guests. Your work spans the full lifecycle of food service—from receiving supplies through final delivery—ensuring excellence at every stage.
What You'll Do
- Receive, inspect, and properly store food and supply deliveries
- Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and portion standards
- Serve meals to patients, visitors, and staff with friendly, attentive service
- Maintain strict cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Verify food quality, temperature, and presentation throughout all preparation and service
- Support Food Service Department staff during regular operations and special meal events
- Adhere to all food safety protocols and health department requirements
What We're Looking For
- Reliability and ability to commit to a consistent 20-hour weekly schedule
- Strong attention to detail and food safety awareness
- Capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Prior food service or institutional kitchen experience (preferred)
