Field Service Technician

The Opportunity

Join a dynamic service team at an authorized Toyota Forklift Dealer serving the Minneapolis metropolitan area. Atlas Toyota Material Handling, part of the Atlas Companies, provides comprehensive support to customers across Hennepin County who rely on material handling equipment to keep their operations running. We're seeking technicians at all experience levels who are committed to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair forklifts, material handling vehicles, and specialized equipment at customer job sites
• Perform preventive maintenance and comprehensive inspections to maximize equipment performance and safety
• Document all service work, including findings, repairs, and recommendations, in company records
• Communicate directly with customers to explain issues, provide solutions, and ensure satisfaction
• Transport equipment, diagnostic tools, and replacement parts to locations throughout our service region
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety standards, company procedures, and professional conduct

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with forklift repair, heavy equipment maintenance, or automotive service
• Solid mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Physical capability to perform demanding manual work, including lifting and working in varied positions
• Ability to work independently in field settings and manage priorities effectively
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to exceptional customer service
