Position Summary

Waters Corporation's Field Services Organization maintains the highest standards of technical excellence and customer satisfaction. As a Field Service Specialist II, you'll play a key role in our San Diego region, providing hands-on support to ensure our customers' analytical instruments perform reliably. This full-time position offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise in Waters' product suite while building strong relationships with established accounts.

What You'll Do

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Waters laboratory instruments at customer sites across the San Diego region
• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnostic testing to maximize equipment uptime and performance
• Respond to customer service requests and technical issues with professionalism and attention to detail
• Document service visits, parts usage, and system performance in our service management systems
• Collaborate with regional field service team members to ensure consistent, high-quality customer support
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior field service team members as appropriate
• Identify opportunities to improve service processes and enhance customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on field service experience with analytical or laboratory instruments
• Strong technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with complex systems
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer visits across a service territory
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with both technical and non-technical clients
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel within the San Diego County service area
• Experience with Waters products preferred, or demonstrated ability to rapidly master technical documentation
