Endpoint Systems Engineer (L2)

Prime System Solutions is hiring an Endpoint Systems Engineer (L2) for a full-time remote position. Role Overview

As an Endpoint Systems Engineer at the L2 level, you'll take ownership of endpoint infrastructure operations and support, bridging the gap between front-line technical support and senior engineering. You'll manage systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement solutions that keep endpoints secure, performant, and compliant across our organization. This role offers hands-on technical work with clear progression pathways in systems and infrastructure engineering.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve escalated endpoint issues from Level 1 support teams, implementing permanent solutions rather than workarounds
• Manage endpoint configurations, deployments, and updates across Windows, macOS, and Linux systems
• Monitor system performance metrics, patch levels, and security compliance; identify and address drift
• Maintain and improve endpoint security posture, including antimalware, encryption, and access control implementations
• Document procedures, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides to reduce resolution time
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on endpoint architecture, policies, and standards
• Participate in on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents affecting endpoint availability

Skills & Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on endpoint systems administration or Level 2 technical support experience
• Strong working knowledge of Windows Server and client operating systems
• Experience with mobile device management (MDM) platforms or endpoint management tools
• Solid understanding of Active Directory, group policies, and network fundamentals
• Troubleshooting ability with command-line tools (PowerShell, Bash) and remote support utilities
• Knowledge of system security hardening and compliance requirements
• Excellent documentation and communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts clearly
