About the Role
As a Postdoctoral Scholar/Pro-Tem Research Associate with the Ballmer Institute, you will contribute to groundbreaking research initiatives focused on improving behavioral health outcomes for children and adolescents. This position combines independent research leadership with collaborative work across our multidisciplinary team.
What You'll Do
- Conduct independent or collaborative research projects in children's behavioral health and mental health intervention
- Design and implement research protocols, including study recruitment, data collection, and participant follow-up
- Perform statistical analysis and interpret complex datasets using established quantitative methods
- Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication and present findings at professional conferences
- Contribute to grant proposals and funding applications to support ongoing research initiatives
- Mentor junior research staff or graduate students as appropriate to project needs
- Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with institutional review board requirements
What We're Looking For
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Psy.D., M.D., or equivalent) in psychology, psychiatry, counseling, behavioral health, or closely related discipline
- Postdoctoral training or significant research experience in children's behavioral health, clinical psychology, or mental health intervention
- Proficiency with quantitative analysis tools and statistical software
- Demonstrated publication record or strong commitment to peer-reviewed research dissemination
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
