E-invoicing & EDI Integration Engineer (f/m/d) – with English and German/French/Italian

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential B2B integration services organization seeking an E-invoicing & EDI Integration Engineer with multilingual capabilities. This role is open across multiple European locations and the UK, offering remote-first flexibility within designated countries.

You will be the technical bridge between enterprise clients, their ERP systems, and a cloud-based integration platform, managing e-invoicing and EDI projects from onboarding through go-live. Strong communication skills in English plus German, French, or Italian are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and technically implement e-invoicing and EDI integration projects on a cloud platform
• Serve as the primary interface between customers, their ERP environments, and the integration platform
• Onboard new customers post-sales handover and independently drive integration projects to completion
• Troubleshoot technical issues and act as a strategic partner to clients throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate data mapping requirements with document engineering teams for e-invoicing and EDI formats
• Communicate with partner companies, customers, and their suppliers across global supply chains
• Proactively ensure project success through strong organizational skills and independent work habits
• Evaluate and implement new tools and processes to improve project delivery and efficiency

What We're Looking For

• Several years of hands-on experience in e-invoicing and/or EDI implementation
• Proven expertise integrating ERP import/export interfaces using XML, CSV, and IDocs
• Experience with EDI onboarding processes, EDI service providers, and Value Added Networks (VANs)
• Familiarity with national e-invoicing mandates and compliance requirements globally
• Deep knowledge of EDI and integration formats including XML, EDIFACT, ANSI X12, and VDA
• Proficiency with EDI protocols such as AS2, OFTP2, and PEPPOL
• Excellent communication skills in English; fluency in German, French, or Italian is a strong advantage (Chinese or other languages also valued)
• Background in project management, supply chain management, or logistics
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
