About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity organization seeking experienced penetration testers to join their selective freelance community across the UK, Germany, and Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden). This is a part-time, freelance engagement for mid-level to senior security professionals who are passionate about application security and collaborative testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual penetration testing across web applications, APIs, internal and external networks, iOS and Android mobile platforms
• Work as part of a distributed pentest team, collaborating directly with end clients
• Document assessment results, audits, tests, and verification activities with precision and clarity
• Conduct manual validation of identified vulnerabilities
• Test for OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities in mobile and web applications
• Engage with a community of security professionals to share knowledge and improve methodologies

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of penetration testing or equivalent security experience (mid-level or above)
• Deep understanding of application security principles and methodologies
• Professional demeanor with strong communication skills
• Attention to detail and pride in technical work product
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge with peers
• Desire to remain current on emerging vulnerabilities, exploits, and tooling
• Certifications such as CREST, PenTest+, GPEN, CEH, OSCP, CISSP, eCPPT, eWAPT, OSCE, or OSWE are advantageous
• Must currently reside in the UK, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Norway, or Sweden
